Usage of 和 (hé)

In the first year of learning Chinese, you will see the word “和” very often. It is translated to “and.” For example, “我和你” means “you and me”, and “这个和那个” means  “this and that.”

But there is a very common mistake that learners will make, and that is translating “和” for every “and.” But that will not work.
